Portugal is a country of over 10.5 million people that is located along Iberian Peninsula. Situated in southwestern Continental Europe, Portugal is the westernmost country of mainland Europe and is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the west and south coasts and by Spain to the north and east. The Islands of the Azores and Madeira near the northwestern tip of Africa are also part of Portugal. Portugal is a parliamentary democracy and has been a member of the European Union since 1986. Its monetary system is regulated by the European Central Bank. Portugal is also part of the Eurozone which borrows the Euro as its currency.

The topic selected was the theme of 'World'. This topic was chosen because of the multi-cultural backgrounds of the team members in this group. The team members in this group have backgrounds from three different continents and it was decided that a sample of each of these continents would be displayed on these Wiki pages.
Reflection
Before this assignment, I did not have any experience or knowledge with regards wikispace. Having completed it, I feel very competent with this program. Also while the work involved in completing this project was not difficult, I did find it somewhat time consuming. Having said that, I did find the teamwork aspect of the project quite enjoyable and I have acquired knowledge that hopefully will be useful to me sometime in the future.
